If you work out a comprehensive plan, from what to do with the things you want to dispose of to designing new fixtures that would optimize your garage storage, then you can have a clutter-free and useful garage sooner than you think.
Cleaning Your Garage Storage

As much as you may dread it, at some point in time, you must tackle the unthinkable – cleaning out your garage storage. No doubt, you’ve been putting it off for months, possibly even years. Meanwhile, the clutter has accumulated at an alarming rate. You may not want to do it, but it’s best to clean out the garage storage now while you still can get in there. If you wait any longer, it might take an army to clean out all the junk that was allowed to build up.

Grab some large, heavy-duty trash bags as you will be throwing away anything that you no longer need. Start with the part of the garage storage that makes the most sense for you. It might be the part that is closest to the front, the part farthest in the back, or even the part that is the most cluttered. It doesn’t matter where you start; the most important thing is that you start somewhere. Go through every item that you have. Throw away things that you no longer have a use for, this includes expired products.

Once you’ve thrown away everything unnecessary, the next thing is to reorganize the garage storage.  Start by removing all items that don’t belong in the garage. Perhaps, there are some utensils or other household items that belong in another part of the house. You don’t have to put these in their respective places now. Just place them aside so that you can remove them when you are done.

For the remainder of the items in the garage storage, reorganize them by placing like products near each other. For example, all cleaning supplies should be in the same place while all the gardening supplies should be grouped together. Continue until all products have been grouped together.

When you first approach the job of cleaning out the garage storage, it will seem nearly impossible.  Rest assured that by doing a little at a time, you can certainly return your garage as close as possible to its clutter-free state.
